Leaves of maple in the light of autumn

Some golden maple leaves, bathed in the warm light of late autumn.
Many centuries ago, in mediaevalism, the leaves of the maple tree were used to fight fever, being known for their antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. The leaves and bark were also used for coloring in black the textiles.
The picture was captured with a Nikon D40X camera and Nikon 55-200mm VR AF-S f/4-5.6G ED lens, using the following settings: exposure time – 1/400 seconds, ISO – 200, focal length – 1/135, F- number – 5.
