Murbled white (Melanargia galathea) is widespread in Europe and North Africa, being found in the woodlands, glades, often in large colonies. It is a very attractive butterfly, because of the wings with black and white combinations. This is, also, a warning signal for the predators, being very toxic.
The image was taken with a Nikon D40X camera and Nikon 55-200mm VR AF-S f/4-5.6G ED lens, using these settings: exposure time –1/640 seconds, focal length – 200 mm, ISO – 400, F- number – 5,6.
