High altitude cirrus clouds on the atmosphere of Earth

The latin word cirrus means hair loop. Is high altitude cloud which under the action of winds look like the hair. Cirrus clouds are also omnipresent in the atmosphere of other solar system planets such as Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune. Most likely are formed by crystals of methane and ammonia not like on the Earth’s atmosphere where are crystals of ice.

The image was created with a Nikon D40X camera and Nikon 55-200mm VR AF-S f/4-5.6G ED lens, using these settings: exposure time – 1/400 seconds, focal length – 98 mm, ISO – 400, F- number – 5.
