Cerastium Arvense known as Field Chickweed is a widespread plant in North America and Europe. It grows in areas with sandy soils, slightly acidic or calcareous. In the past, in the folk medicine, it was known having astringent and antihemoragic effects. Decoction prepared from the aerial plant was used in the treatment of the uterine bleeding and miscarriage.
The picture was taken with Canon PowerShot A550 with these settings: exposure time – 1/125 sec, focal length – 5.8 mm, ISO – 80.
