Lesser celandine (Ranunculus ficaria lat.) is a plant native to Europe and the western part of Asia. It blooms with yellow flowers in March and April. Before bloom, its leaves are rich in vitamin C and may be used like salad, but after the flowers appear, they become toxic. The infusion of leaves is used to treat hemorrhoids and dermatoses.
