A forest of firs at the mountain, lightened on the edge by a late autumn tired sun

At the edge of the fir forest, the sun’s tired light penetrates through the tree trunks, being gradually swallowed by the dark forest. The grass on the ground is dry, because it’s actually a late autumn afternoon, unusually warm for this mountain region. But, it is possible that in a few days the weather to cool suddenly, and the entire landscape to change dramatically, being covered by snow, as it happened in other years on late autumn.

The image was captured with a Nikon D40X camera and Nikon 55-200mm VR AF-S f/4-5.6G ED lens using these settings: exposure time – 1/250 seconds, focal length – 55mm, ISO – 200, F- number – 4,0.
