Dating from the end of the Ice Age, the glacier lakes in the Retezat mountains are distinguished by the purity and clarity of water. Being fed mainly from precipitation, their volume varies according to season.
The image was taken with Canon PowerShot A550 using these settings: exposure time – 1/400 sec, focal length – 6 mm, ISO – 80.
