In the middle of August, grasslands from the alpine regions are full of colors. The white spots from the grass are flowers of Geum reptans, known also as Creeping Avens. In background, are can be distinguish mugo Pines, one of the few species of bushes that survive to harsh climate of these places. The picture was captured with a Nikon D40X camera and Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX lens, using these settings: focal length – 30 mm, exposure time – 1/50 sec, ISO 200, lens aperture – 4.5.
