Ciucas Mountains formed by the terrestrial crust wrinkling

Ciucas Mountains are located on the southern section of the Eastern Carpathians (country Romania). They were formed by wrinkling of the terrestrial crust and are composed entirely of sedimentary rocks (sandstone, limestone, conglomerate). The altitudes are not exceeding 2000 meters, the highest being the Ciucas peak, with an altitude of 1945 meters.
