Located in Romania, the Ciucas Massif is part of the southern group of the Eastern Carpathians. The highest peaks of these mountains are exceeding slightly 1,900 meters. The massif is formed by conglomerate, which over time, under the action of erosion gave birth to rocks sometimes with strange shapes, many of them with names given by legends which are attempting to explain their appearance.
