The sour cherry (Prunus cerasus) is native to Southwest Asia and Europe. A special characteristic of the sour cherry flowers is the self-pollination, unlike other cherry species that have not this quality. Ripe fruits are sour, which is why some people do not eat them, but, instead, have a great smell and flavour.
The picture was created using a Nikon D40X camera and Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D AF lens, with the following settings: focal length – 50 mm, exposure time – 1/320 sec, ISO – 100, lens aperture – F/5,6.
