An old Sweet Chestnut tree (Castanea sativa), devoid of leaves in a snowy winter. The trunk of an Castanea sativa often exceed 2 meters in diameter and height can reach even 35 meters. Is native from Asia Minor and southeastern Europe, but in present is widespread in Europe and Asia. This tree, is known specially for it’s edible chestnuts and wood.
