The fir forest is shrouded in a thick fog. Nearby trees silhouettes can be distinguished clearly, but what is in the background, gradually is lost in the mist, thus creating an atmosphere of mystery. Everything is in shades of gray. Colors seem to have been swallowed by the cold damp weather, which is dominating this late autumn day and when the wind does not blow, the silence is absolute.

The image was created with a Nikon D60 camera and Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX lens, using these settings: focal length – 18 mm, exposure time – 1/100 sec, ISO 200, lens aperture – 5.
