Shadows on Snow

Shadows on snow of a young, leafless forest in the sunlight. The soil is covered with a white blanket which pleasantly contrasting with the dark tree trunks.

On the white blanket which is covering the ground, are projected the oblique shadows of the thin trees from the edge of the forest, in shades of blue clear sky. The shadows on snow and the tree trunks against the sunlight are creating a beautiful view. In the distance it can be observed a large meadow, a white field of snow in sunlight, bordered by clusters of dark woods.
The image was created using a Nikon D40X camera with Nikkor 18-105mm f/4-5.6G AF-S ED VR lens and these settings: exposure time – 1/800 seconds, focal length – 18 mm, ISO – 100, F- number – 3.5.
