Saint Ana Lake is located in the crater of an extinct volcano, with about 42,000 years ago. It is the only lake of volcanic origin in Central Europe, which was kept intact. Also, it is considered the lake with purest water in the world. It has no underground springs, the only source of water being the precipitation.
The image was captured with a Nikon D40X camera and Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX lens, using these settings: focal length – 55 mm, exposure time – 1/50 sec, ISO 200, lens aperture – 5,6.
