Wild Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) is a plant originating in North Africa and Europe, which grows on the hills and mountains, where, prefers the sunny places. For therapeutic purposes, are used the branches, which are harvested when they bloom. They have a strong flavor, resembling with that of oregano. This plant is known in the folk medicine, for its diuretic properties, nervous system stimulant, intestinal antiseptic, tonic, aperitif.
