On a cliff edge, a fir tree grew. Its roots, not too deep, are fixed in the cracks, and therefore the tree resists even better than the other against the strong winds, which often beat these highlands, maintaining permanently its risk of rupture. But now it’s a beautiful winter day, and the whole landscape covered in snow is bathed in a pleasant light, creating over everything an aura of optimism.
