Cirrus is a high altitude cloud, being situated at heights between 6000 and 13000 meters. It’s formed by converting water vapors into ice crystals, and is found in very thin layers. The white fiber appearance is due to the strong winds that continually shape it. These clouds predict the arrival of the warm front, situated at approximately 1000 kilometers distance.
