Bathed in the warm rays of the spring sun, the tree buds have just burst. The young foliage begins to appear on the branches. Behind them on a background of blue sky, are looming dark trunks of the trees in the forest. A few brown spots on some distant branches, betraying the existence of some dried leaves which have not fallen yet.
