Knapweed, a plant with many flowers

Knapweed is a very invasive weed. It is toxic to horses when they eat. However, the flowers are producing a lot of pollen, attracting pollinators, being an important source of pollen for bees in the second half of summer from the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere. The biological enemies of the weed, are several species of butterflies, whose larvae feed on these plants.
The picture was made using a Nikon D40X camera with Nikon 55-200mm VR AF-S f/4-5.6G ED lens and these settings: exposure time – 1/200 second, focal length – 200 mm, ISO – 200, F- number – 5,6.
