Oxalis acetosella (Wood-Sorrel) is a plant in widespread in Europe and in some places of Asia. It flowers from April until May. In North America there is a related species – Oxalis montana. Both species have a sour taste, because of contained oxalic acid, and hence have a slight toxicity. Interferes with digestion and absorption of some minerals. Although these plants are considered edible and consumed with moderation are not a danger for health.
