Wood Anemone (Anemone Nemorosa) is widely spread in the deciduous forests from Central, Western Europe and UK. Their appearance in clusters, around the forests, indicates the places where in the past existed trees. This wild flower blooms in March-May period, when the shade of the trees is not very thick. Once, it was used in the traditional medicine to treat gout, headache or rheumatism. It is a toxic plant that contains Protoanemonin, a strong irritating substance, the reason why is no longer used for therapeutic purposes.
