Yellow Bedstraw (Galium verum) is a plant native to Asia and Europe. The flowers are used as a dye in the cheese manufacturing process. Its scent is not tolerated by the fleas; in the past, with dried plants were filled the mattresses. The aerial parts are used, also, for therapeutic purposes. These are rich in flavonoids, iridoids and phenyl-propanoids, the plant infusion being used as a light sedative, spasmolytic, diuretic and depurative.
