Peleaga Peak – 2509 meters – is the highest point of Retezat mountains, offering a great view of the surroundings. In the image are seen rock formations, towers man-made. They are markings by which shepherds are guided in foggy conditions. The French, the English call them “Cairn”, Germans “Steinmann” (stone people) and the Slovaks: “mujiki” (omuleti). Often marks dangerous places.
The image was captured using a Canon PowerShot A550 camera with the following settings: exposure time – 1/400 sec, focal length – 6 mm, ISO – 80, lens aperture – F/7.1.
